CAA-ECE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that focuses on developing educators through apprenticeships and internships. Our vision is to develop highly qualified staff to lead our centers and ensure that African American children and other children of color are fully supported. Members have access to professional development opportunities, mentorship, and resources to stay current on best practices in the field.

The goals of membership are to increase quality and strengthen a collective voice within the field of early education, with the ultimate aim of achieving the best outcomes for African American children, children of color, and their families. Quality is defined by education and experience in the field of ECE. A program may be of good quality but remain unrated due to inequities in the field or by the decision of the business owner. Therefore, while SUTQ rating requirements guide our practice, they do not prevent involvement in the Consortium.
